Northern Tasmanian Athletics Inc was formed by the merging of the former Northern Athletic Centre Board and Northern Branch Athletic Association of Tasmania in 2018. The two organisations were merged because of a double up in the board members, and goals of the organisations. This has also enabled the simplification of hiring, as now all equipment and track bookings are managed by one organisation.
